Medical Tourism is the popular term for global healthcare. Medical tourism is the practice of providing healthcare to patients coming from all parts of the world. In medical tourism, a medical facility needs to be globally competitive in order to provide excellent service.

Medical tourism can help boost the country’s economy because this will encourage tourists from different nations to come and seek proper healthcare. One of the many reasons why medical tourism is in demand is the fact that some countries like Mexico, offer not only excellent healthcare services but affordable healthcare services as well.

Several hospitals in Mexico are JCI accredited, which means that these hospitals passed the series of tests and evaluation conducted by the JCI. These JCI accredited hospitals are world-class hospitals. Here are some Mexican hospitals with JCI accreditation.

3. Hospital CIMA Monterrey – The Mexican health ministry gave the Hospital CIMA Monterrey a level three acute care surgical license, this distinction is the highest distinction the Ministry can bestow on a hospital facility. This hospital also caters to transplant cases and is JCI accredited. Hospital CIMA Monterrey is located at San Pedro, Garza Garcia.

4. AmeriMed American Hospitals – is part of the American hospital chain that focuses on providing patients with a wide variety of health care services like the following: 24-hour emergency services, obstetrics and gynecology care, family healthcare, medical diagnoses and surgical treatments. This hospital is located at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

As mentioned, medical tourism in Mexico enables the country to provide excellent and affordable health care services. Unlike in other countries where surgical procedures can be expensive, surgical procedures in Mexico are very much affordable.
